Hours after three assailants were involved in an attack which left seven people dead and several others injured, police have arrested 12 suspects in connection with the incident after several raids in east London suburb.
According to Metropolitan Police Commissioner Cressida Dick more investigations into the attack are still ongoing.
“We have a very large investigation ongoing, and we will be seeking to establish whether anyone else was working with or assisting in any way or helping in the planning of this attack,” she said.
The attacks which which occurred near the Borough Market close to the London Bridge saw the attackers plough their car into unsuspecting pedestrians before embarking on a stabbing spree.
The assailants numbering up to three were however shot dead by cops who rushed to the scene of the incident.
